Meet the Trainers

Jordan Dye, CBC

Raised in a household with cats, horses, and dogs, as the daughter of a professional groomer, Trainer Jordan Dye has been a life-long animal lover.

Jordan completed our Dog Trainer Apprenticeship program in record time, and is qualified to teach all levels of our training, as well as problem solving, Nosework, tricks classes, and more.

Jordan splits her time between horse training and dog training - helping owners of both species have a better life with their animal companions.

In her spare time, she works with her own 3 horses, and her demo dog - Jax the terrier.

She is an avid tricks trainer and an overall asset to our training staff. We're thrilled to have this dynamic, insightful trainer on board.

Meghan Poinsett, BA, CBC

Trainer Meg Poinsette began her training career as a client of Front Range K9 Academy.

She rapidly completed all 4 levels of Obedience with her demo dogs, Duke and Marlee - both large, young, energetic dogs.

Meg showed an early aptitude for training, and understanding dog behavior, as well as a voracious appetite for knowledge about all things canine.

With her background as a human teacher, she was a perfect fit for our apprenticeship program.

A Colorado Dog Training Tradition

Yes! We're a Local Colorado Company! Front Range K9 Academy was founded by owner and trainer, Jennifer Hime. A Colorado native, Hime has worked with dogs professionally since 1990.

In 2006, we put in place our Dog Trainer Apprenticeship Program. Every trainer we hire must complete a minimum of 200 hours of training under our Head Trainers.

The program is extremely rigorous, with an 80% 'wash out' rate. This means we train and retain only the best at communicating with clients and their dogs.
